Financial technology company, Polaris Software, has bagged two prestigious Technology Implementation Awards at the fifth Asian Banker Awards ceremony at Hong Kong.
Chennai-based Polaris had won the “Best Core Banking Implementation for small-sized banks” award for implementation at Saigon Hanoi Bank for managing risks during the project implementation stage.
Besides, it also won the Best Banking Application Award for developing a multi-country single-instance application, a company statement issued here said.
The Asian Banker Technology Award is a prestigious honour that recognises path breaking IT projects that are executed within an acceptable timeframe, it said.
The awards were presented at the recent Asian Banker Summit 2011, which provided a unique platform for senior bankers and decision makers to share, benchmark and learn from each other’s experiences.
“We are delighted to receive two of the most prestigious awards in the financial technology domain. Our robust technology framework has provided various banks with the much desired core banking system that is easy to use, easy to configure and light on infrastructure”, Polaris Software Chairman and CEO, Mr Arun Jain, said.
Over 50 financial institutions from 15 countries across Asia—Pacific, Gulf regions and Central Asia were evaluated for the award, the statement added.
