Hard drive supplier Seagate Technology has unveiled the 320 GB version of GoFlex slim portable hard drive in India, which it claims is the world’s slimmest hard drive.
The new GoFlex slim hard drive is priced at Rs 4,500 and will be available through Seagate distribution channels and select retail outlets in India.
It is equipped with a 7200 RPM drive and a USB 3.0 interface, which accelerates transfer speeds up to 10x faster than USB 2.0.
“The continued growth of personal digital media stores, our increasingly mobile lifestyles and the continued proliferation of mobile devices are driving the demand for slimmer, more portable storage solutions,” the Seagate Country Manager (India), Mr Rajesh Khurana, told reporters here today.
