Smartworks, a Delhi-based co-working space provider announced the launch of its second facility at Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) here on Thursday.
The new facility is spread over 85180 sq ft with a seating capacity of 1,500 seats. The designed workspace offers a mix of residential and office complexes, contemporary structures, eateries and a number of entertainment zones in the locality.
With the launch, the company increased the number of centres to fifteen spread over nine cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Noida, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai with a total footprint of over 1.2 million sq ft in India.
“We are excited to launch Smartworks’ second facility in Chennai,” said Neetish Sarda, founder, Smartworks. “The facility in OMR complements our already-functional Smartworks facility in Guindy.” Currently, the company offers four varieties of products such as Day Pass for freelancers, Smart Labs for shared workspace seekers, Smart Suites that offers customised offices for large-scale start-ups, MNCs and enterprises and Smart Cubes that suits smaller companies with an employee size of 30.
“In the last year, we had 90 per cent occupancy across a majority of mature centers and five times expansion in our footprint,” Sarda said adding that our focus will continue to be in underserved tier-I markets such as Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, where there is immense demand for high quality co-shared spaces.
