Stelae Technologies has been declared the winner of the IBM SmartCamp 2014 in India.

SmartCamp, is an initiative aimed at identifying early stage entrepreneurs who are developing business ventures that strengthen new markets around Cloud, Big Data and Analytics, Mobile and Social.

Stelae Technologies provides an automated conversion solution for multiple categories of content; their product Khemeia, is a cloud-based technology which transforms unstructured information into structured content that can be readily indexed.

Drona Mobile, which looks at harnessing the power of mobile in all functions of a business, was judged the runners up at the event and the ‘audience poll winner’, company officials added. 

The panel of mentors for IBM SmartCamp India included Jason Mosakowski, Director, Software Sales and Marketing, IBM India, Dulles Krishnan, Executive Director, IBM Industry Solutions, Asia Pacific, BalaKrishnan V, Chairman, Reservoir Ventures, Ravi Gururaj, Chairman, Nasscom Product Council, Sanjay Anandram, Partner, SeedFund, Anup Gupta, Managing Director, Nexus Ventures, Maheshwaran Calavai, Director, Business Intelligence, Target India, Pradeep Tagare, Director, Intel Ventures and Shailesh Ghorpade, Managing Partner, Reservoir Ventures.

The SmartCamp, which was held in Bangalore, is a part of IBM’s Global Entrepreneur Program and aimed at identifying innovative startups in the B2B space in India, a company official said. 30 top contenders were shortlisted from over 250 entries across the country, and provided with an opportunity to pitch to and interact with local venture capitalists, serial entrepreneurs, business and technology experts.
