Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today announced that the first batch of students with specialisation in “Business Process Services” designed by it in collaboration with academia will graduate with Bcom and BBA degrees in 2015—16.
Calling the programme designed by it “unique,” the IT services major in a release here said four institutions affiliated to the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore offered it and 200 students are set to graduate in 2015—16.
One hundred and fifty five students enrolled in the first batch of this industry—academia collaboration effort in 2013 and subsequently the student’s intake was scaled up.
Vice President and Head, Human Resources, TCS—Business Process Services, Ranjan Bandhopadhya, said “Our goal is to collaborate with leading universities and scale up the supply of graduates with BPS specialisation to about 10,000 students.”
The BPS specialisation programme uses “blended approach with exposure to core subjects, industry practices and domain knowledge,” the company said.
