JDA Software, a US-based supply-chain and retail solutions provider, is looking at tapping the Indian market and working with start-ups to explore joint-go-to-market opportunities.
The firm currently gets a small portion of its $1-billion revenue from India.
“We are looking at increasing revenues from India,” said Girish Rishi, JDA Software’s Chief Executive Officer.
The company sees implementation of GST as an enabler for its business growth in the country.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said about half of the firm’s 4,400 employees work out of its Hyderabad and Bengaluru offices.
“India is a key focus for JDA Software, employing close to half of its global workforce, and with over 70 per cent of product development happening here. We will be hiring up to 200 professionals around the world with a background in data science and machine learning to support our innovation initiatives,” he said.
