To tap revenue from mobile social networking users, telecom service provider Uninor on Monday  launched the ‘sabse sasta Facebook’ and ‘sabse sasta Whatsapp’ at ₹1 per day (unlimited usage) for each of the services.

“We are moving out of data and moving into Internet. Internet is the way in which customers consume data and our approach will be to make that usage the cheapest among all operators,” Morten Karlsen Sorby, nominated Chief Executive Officer, Uninor, told presspersons here.

Apart from the ‘one day’ plan, the company is also offering a ‘one hour’ unlimited Facebook for 50 paise, ₹ 5 for a week and ₹ 15 for a month. Similarly, for WhatsApp — ₹ 5 for a week and ₹ 15 for a month of unlimited usage.

However, the services will only be available to Gujarat and Maharashtra as of now and services in all circles will start within one month, Sorby said.

The company is expecting 100 per cent growth in Internet revenues through this offer and a 100 per cent increase in the active Internet user base in its network, he said.

The company generated revenues of ₹ 3,300 crore in the 2013 calendar year with a subscriber base of 33.9 million in six circles.
