Leading digital transformation company UST Global has won two Stevie Awards at the 17th Annual American Business Awards.
The company was named bronze winner in ‘Human Resources Team of the Year’ category. It won silver in the ‘Technical Professional of the Year’ category.
Stevies are the US’s premier business awards programme. More than 200 professionals participated in the judging process to select this year’s winners from out of 3,800 nominations.
It is the in-house People Capability Development Team that earned UST Global the ‘Human Resources Team of the Year’ award, a company spokesman said here.
In order to drive digital transformation and build a culture of high performance, the company had developed a programme to promote talent transformation.
The annual performance appraisal system was replaced with a continuous performance management model built on clear goals, real-time feedback and collaboration among individuals and teams across various levels.
Manu Gopinath, Chief People Officer, UST Global, said, the award recognises the efforts invested to ensure that the organisation remains at the forefront of innovation and tracks the well-being of an estimated 23,000 ‘USsociates.’
“By eliminating outdated performance ratings, forced-ranking and episodic feedback, we have shifted to a culture of ongoing, real-time feedback and coaching for our employees,” he said.
The outstanding recognition for the HR Team directly aligns with the company’s vision of 'Transforming Lives’ and making a positive impact on the company and employees.
Separately, Adnan Masood, Chief Architect – AI & Machine Learning, UST Global, was named the winner of the Silver Stevie Award in the ‘Technical Professional of the Year’ award.
Masood is an artificial intelligence and machine learning researcher, a visiting scholar at Stanford AI Lab, and Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) for Artificial Intelligence.
The talent management practices (including performance, career, and succession management) at UST Global have also been certified by the Top Employers Institute.
Grant Thornton had independently audited the employee conditions, earning UST Global a coveted spot among a select group of certified Top Employers, the spokesman added.
