Vmoot, a Pune-based start-up, has launched a debating and polling platform with an aim to help people raise their voice and discuss issues related to politics, city and local affairs, sports, and entertainment, with others who share similar interests.
Vmoot supports private and anonymous debating, which can help private and public organisations get feedback. The results of the discussions, in the form of a debate or a poll, can be shared by tagging the concerned authorities in social media posts or page.
Kunal Shelar, founder and CEO, Vmoot, said in a press statement, “We came up with the idea of conceptualising the brand after observing the layout and functionality of Facebook, Twitter, Quora, that don’t support debating. Users on these platforms give opinions but that doesn’t help bring in the change. The majority of social media posts create miscommunication due to incorrect information.”
He added, “To solve this issue, we have launched a platform where users will be able to see other people’s opinions at a glance, contradict or support their view, get valuable feedback and create a major consensus.”
Voice notes incorporated in the app allow users to post their opinions and questions by recording their voice.
