Vodafone Idea, the country’s largest telecom service provider, has completed the consolidation of its radio network integration in AP and Telangana.

With this, AP & Telangana are amongst the first eight circles to complete integration. The circle integration, which started in December 2018, was completed within two months.

Vodafone Idea’s coverage is now available across 391 towns and 19,700 villages in AP and Telangana, covering 92.5 per cent area.

“The consolidation of the network in AP and Telangana circle will enable over 2 crore customers of Vodafone and Idea to enjoy a unified network experience on 2G, 3G and 4G. We are deploying new-age technologies to enhance customer experience as we build a robust, future-ready network in AP & Telangana,” said Puneet Krishnan, Business Head at Vodafone Idea.

In other circles, network integration is taking place on a cluster-by-cluster basis, it added.

Earlier, Vodafone Idea said it had consolidated nearly 25 per cent of its pan-India radio network integration.

Following the integration, customers of both Vodafone and Idea brands are able to access 2G, 3G and 4G across West Bengal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, the North-East, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana (excluding Hyderabad), Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

In addition, 4G radio network consolidation has been completed in Bengaluru city, while 4G services are available to both Vodafone and Idea customers in Kolkata metro. The company has also re-farmed 10 MHz of 4G spectrum of Vodafone in Mumbai.
