Vodafone Essar has initiated a two-wheeler safety drive in the city as part of Vodafone's Health, Safety and Wellness Campaign.
The initiative was inaugurated by Ernakulam Rural SP, Ms Harshita Attaluri, at the Vodafone Circle office in Kalamassery where she flagged off a two-wheeler rally along with Mr K.Sundararaman, COO, Vodafone, Kerala.
The rally, driven by Vodafone employee volunteers, was aimed at creating awareness on the need for two-wheeler traffic safety.
As a part of the event, the bikers travelled across the city visiting key areas before reaching their final destination — Marine Drive, holding placards with road safety messages encouraging other commuters and spectators to take more notice of the need for personal safety.
The bikers even stopped at the Vodafone Store in Palarivattom to share leaflets on traffic rules and safety with commuters and pedestrians.
