Chennai-based co-working space provider, Workafella, has set an aggressive expansion target.
The company is planning to multiply its existing number of seats three-fold to 25,000 by March 2020.
Workafella is owned by real estate player Rattha group, and currently has 9,000 seats in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
It offers a wide range of co-working solutions such as custom-built spaces, ‘hot desks’, private offices, virtual offices and meeting rooms.
It also offers end-to-end recruitment support for its customers.
As part of its expansion drive, the company will launch ‘Hi-Street’, a 12-storey 1.5 lakh-square feet building in Teynampet with a seating capacity of 2,500 seats. Workafella already has about 5,000 seats together in its Alwarpet and Nungambakkam facilities.
It will soon begin operations from Shollinganallur and Guindy in 3-5 months.
“We are all set to achieve our goal of growing three times in size, to become one of the largest co-working space providers in India. The launch of Hi-Street is just a beginning,” said Gurbinder Rattha, Founder and Managing Director, Workafella.
As part of its expansion outside South India, Workafella will set up shop in the NCR region and Mumbai, besides Tier-II cities such as Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
