With the deadline for digitisation in four metros on October 31, stocks such as Den Networks, Hathway Cable & Datacom, Wire & Wireless, Dish TV and Sun TV will be in focus. Most of these stocks had a sharp run-up in recent times on digitisation hopes. The Information and Broadcasting Ministry last week claimed that 81 per cent had been reached in Cable TV digitisation in four metros. It added that if the figures of Direct to Home connections were added, then digitisation figure would increase to 87 per cent. However, with industry bodies disputing the figures, it would be interesting to know whether the Government would extend the deadline once again.
