From this week, 51 stocks will be excluded from the NSE derivative segment. Among them are Aban Offshore, Bajaj Hindusthan, BF Utilities, BGR Energy, Core Education, Development Credit Bank, Educomp Solutions, Essar Oil, Hindustan Construction Co, Hindustan Oil Exploration, India Infoline, Indian Oil, Jet Airways, Lanco Infratech, MRPL, MTNL, OnMobile Global, Orchid Chemicals, Polaris Financial, Praj Industries, Rolta India, S. Kumars Nationwide, Sobha Developers, Tata Coffee, TTK Prestige, Videocon and VIP industries. Positions have to be compulsorily squared-off on these counters, which will lead to volatility. The complete list is available on the NSE Web site in the July 24 circular. Once excluded, these stocks will attract the circuit filter, which means their share price movement will be limited by the exchanges. However, if they are part of an index in the derivative segment, these stocks will not be acted upon by the circuit filter.
