Coal India shot up to emerge the top gainer on the BSE ahead of the close on Thursday. At 2.50 pm the share was up 1.47 per cent at ₹349.30 as against its previous close at ₹344.25.
ITC traded up 1.41 per cent at ₹352.45. The share had closed Tuesday’s session at ₹347.55.
Cipla perked up 1.35 per cent at ₹586.05. The scrip had closed Tuesday's session at ₹578.25.
GAIL (India) gained 1.33 per cent at ₹453.55. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹447.60.
The TCS scrip shed most of its gains in late trading. It was trading at ₹2,716.35, up 0.62 per cent as against ₹2,699.70 at close on Tuesday.
