Financial services provider, Edelweiss Capital, said on Tuesday that it has been rechristened as Edelweiss Financial Services.
“Edelweiss Capital has now been renamed as Edelweiss Financial Services,” the company said in a statement issued here.
“This follows all necessary approvals from regulators and the company’s shareholders,” it added.
Edelweiss provides financial services like housing finance, sponsor funding, corporate loans, IPO financing, infrastructure funding, brokerage services. It also operates Edelweiss Mutual Fund and an insurance firm with Japan’s Tokio Marine Holdings —— Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance.
“In the last few years, we have expanded our portfolio of businesses making Edelweiss one of the most diversified financial services companies in the country. The change of names only accurately reflects this change in business mix.
The core values of the company however remain the same and will continue to guide Edelweiss,” Edelweiss Group Chairman and CEO, Mr Rashesh Shah, said in the statement.
