The Udupi branch of ICAI organised an expert lecture on ‘mutual funds' at Nitte recently. A press release said that Mr Prashanth Nayak, Sales Manager (Karnataka), SBI Mutual Fund, delivered the expert lecture at Justice K. S. Hegde Institute of Management at Nitte in Udupi district. Speaking on the occasion, he said that if money is professionally invested in mutual funds, the investor can expect a good return. An investor is required to have a market mind for prudent investments, he said. Prof K.R. Karnik, Director of the institute, said that planning one's finances would provide an edge to the individual for better living. The Chairman of the Udupi branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Mr Y. Ganesh, was present on the occasion.
