As the healthcare sector remains resilient amid the market fluctuation, the proposed IPO of Aster DM Healthcare would not be hit by the current downtrend, said Azad Moopen, the company’s Chairman and Managing Director.
Favourable sentiment
Overall, the sentiments are quite good for an IPO, especially for companies such as Aster. All healthcare stocks are holding steady even in the current adverse conditions. When the market was moving up, it was not reflected in the shares of healthcare companies, he told BusinessLine when asked specifically on the prospects of the forthcoming IPO which opens on February 12.
“We believe that healthcare is a much steady, healthy and a long-term story. The current market turbulence is connected with external problems and not any domestic issues,” he said on the sidelines of a road-show organised in Kochi in connection with the public issue.
