The additional offering of Bharat-22 ETF, which was open only for Thursday, saw an overwhelming response, enabling the government to mop up ₹10,000 crore through disinvestment proceeds. The base issue size fixed at ₹3,500 crore received overwhelming response from all categories of investors, including retail investors. The issue was oversubscribed over 10 times of the base issue size till 7 pm and received about ₹40,000 crore, an official release said. The Centre has decided to retain approximately ₹10,000 crore as its divestment proceeds, the release added.
