Our Bureau The BSE has received market regulator SEBI’s approval to launch copper contracts with a trading unit of 1MT on its newly-launched commodity derivatives segment, on Friday.
“The BSE is looking at offering cost-efficient, convenient and most disciplined framework that will help bring more market participants on board,” said Ashishkumar Chauhan, BSE MD & CEO.
Trading in these contracts will be launched on November 2. The contract’s start day will be the first day of the contract launch month and the final trading day will be the last day of the contract expiry month. The commodity trading session will be from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 11.30/11.55 pm. The delivery centre of copper contracts will be the exchange-designated warehouse at Bhiwandi.
