About 92 per cent of the 9.69 lakh kg offered at Sale No: 7 of the Coonoor Tea Trade Association auctions was absorbed, with the average price ruling at ₹107.36 a kg. Homedale Estate’s red dust, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, topped the dust tea auction and the entire CTC market when Komal Enterprises bought it for ₹217 a kg. Homedale’s pekoe dust, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, followed at ₹212. In the CTC leaf tea market, Homedale’s broken pekoe, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, topped at ₹204 a kg.
