Almond prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg bag in the national capital on Saturday largely on pick up in demand from bulk consumers.
Tight stocks following fall in supply from overseas markets and a firming trend also supported the upside in almond prices.
Almond (California) prices rose by Rs 100 to Rs 10,100 per 40 kg, while its kernel moved up to Rs 355—365 from previous close of Rs 350—360 a kg.
Market analysts said apart from increased demand from bulk consumers and retailers, restricted supplies from global markets, also pushed up almond prices.

Almond (California) Rs 10,100 Almond (gurbandi—new) Rs 4,800—5,000 almond (girdhi) Rs 2,800—2,900 and Abjosh Afghani Rs 7,000—20,000.
Almond kernel in per kg (California) Rs 355—365, almond kernel (gurbandi—new) (kg) Rs 325—400.
