In tight-range movements, aluminium traded 0.09 per cent higher in futures trading today after it moved up at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in March gained 10 paise or 0.09 per cent to Rs 114.95 a kg, with a business turnover of 13 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in April moved up by the same margin to Rs 115.30 a kg, with an open interest of two lots. Meanwhile, at the LME, aluminium was trading a shade higher at $2,570.75 a tonne.
Analysts said apart from a firming trend at the LME, increasing demand at the domestic spot markets influenced prices here.
