Base metals rose further Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metals market on Saturday on increased industrial demand and reports of firming global trend.
Traders said increased industrial demand and reports of firming trend in global markets mainly kept base metal prices remain firm.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) added another Rs 2 each to Rs 392 and Rs 1,036-1,039 per kg.
Zinc ingot, lead ingot and lead imported also enquired higher by the same margin to Rs 106-110, Rs 130 and Rs 128 per kg, respectively.
The following are metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 106-110, nickel plate (4x4) 1,036-1,039, gun metal scrap 226, bell metal scrap 228, copper mixed scrap 392, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 130, lead imported 128, aluminium ingots 127, sheet cutting 129, aluminium wire scrap 134 and aluminium utensils scrap 128.
