Base metal prices fell further by up to Rs 5 per kg at the local non-ferrous metal market today on reduced offtake by stockists due to fall in industrial demand amid a weakening trend in global markets.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap remained weak and shed Rs 2 each to Rs 506, Rs 529 and Rs 489, respectively.
Nickel (4x4) followed suit and traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1,060—1,062 per kg.
Tin ingot lost Rs 5 to Rs 841, while zinc ingot, lead ingot and lead imported moved down by Rs 2 each to Rs 134.50, Rs 143 and Rs 146 per kg, respectively.
