Cashew prices fell by up to Rs 15 a kg in the national capital on Saturday owing to slackened demand from retailers and stockists.Sufficient stocks position following increased arrivals from producing belts also weighed on the cashew prices.
Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 230) prices fell by up to Rs 15 to settle at Rs 705-715, Rs 655-675, Rs 615-645 and Rs 555-595 a kg, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks mainly led to a fall in cashew kernel prices on the wholesale dry fruit market here.
Following are today’s quotations: Almond (California) Rs 10,900 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 5,400-5,700; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 2,700-2,950; Abjosh Afghani Rs 9,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California) Rs 385-395 a kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 400-440 a kg.
