Caustic soda prices fell by Rs 50 per 50 kg in the national capital today largely influenced by reduced offtake by consuming industries against fresh arrivals from the producing regions.
Caustic soda flake fell by Rs 50 to Rs 1,300-1,400 per 50 kg.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries against increased arrivals from the producing belts mainly pulled down caustic soda prices at the wholesale chemical market.

Ammonium chloride (50 kg) 900-2,200, acetic acid (1kg) 42-46, ammonia bicarb (25 kg) 475-500, boric acid technical (50 kg) 3,200-3,600 and borex granular (50 kg) 1,800-1,900.
Caustic soda flake (50 kg) 1,300-1,400, citric acid (50 kg) (China) 3,100-4,000, citric acid deshi (50 kg) 3,200-4,100, camphor slab (1 kg) 380, camphor powder (1kg) 360, glycerine (1 kg) 110-120, hexamine (1kg) 82, hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) 40-45, menthol bold crystal (per kg) 1,125, menthol flake (1kg) 995 and mentha oil (1kg) 930.
