Caustic soda prices rose Rs 50 per 50 kg in the national capital today largely on the back of pick-up in demand from pharma and consuming units amid short supply.
Caustic soda flake rose Rs 50 to Rs 1,500-1,600 per 50 kg.
Market analysts said pick-up in demand from pharma and other consuming units amid short supply from producing belts mainly pushed up caustic soda prices at the wholesale chemical market.

Ammonium chloride (50 kg) 900-2,200, acetic acid (1kg) 44-46, ammonia bicarb (25 kg) 475-500, boric acid technical (50 kg) 3,200-3,700 and borex granular (50 kg) 1,800-1,900.
Caustic soda flake (50 kg) 1,500-1,600, citric acid (50 kg) (China) 3,600-4,400, citric acid deshi (50 kg) 3,700-4,500, camphor slab (1 kg) 400, camphor powder (1kg) 390, glycerine (1 kg) 110-120, hexamine (1kg) 82, hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) 33-35, menthol bold crystal (per kg) 1,340, menthol flake (1kg) 1,280 and mentha oil (1kg) 1,205.
