Chana prices declined by Rs 12 to Rs 3,292 per quintal in futures trade today due to sluggish demand at prevailing high levels against adequate stock availability.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in October declined by Rs 12 or 0.36 per cent to Rs 3,292 per quintal, with a trading volume of 133,230 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for September delivery lost Rs 11 or 0.34 per cent to Rs 3,206 per quintal with an open interest for 308,940 lots.
Traders said sluggish demand at prevailing high levels against adequate stock availability in the spot market mainly led to the decline in chana futures prices.
