Chana prices moved up by Rs 11 to Rs 2,825 per quintal in futures trading today as traders enlarged their positions, support by a firming trend at spot market on good demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in August rose by Rs 11 or 0.39 per cent to Rs 2,825 per quintal, with a business turnover of 163,850 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in July gained Rs 10, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 2,751 per quintal, with a business volume of 215,870 lots.
Market analysts said pick-up in spot market demand mainly led to the rise in chana futures prices.
