Chana prices rose by Rs 12 to Rs 2,323 a quintal in futures trade today on low-level buying by traders following pick-up in domestic demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for May delivery rose by Rs 12 or 0.52 per cent to Rs 2,323 a quintal with an open interest of 98,480 lots.
The commodity for delivery in June also traded higher by Rs 9 or 0.38 per cent to Rs 2,400 a quintal with open interest of 1,35,450 lots.
Market analysts said lower-level buying by traders following pick-up in domestic demand mainly helped chana prices to trade higher in the futures market.
