Freight rates for 10-tonne load for Chennai and Coimbatore quoted up by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market today on busy cargo movement against restricted availability of trucks.
Transporters said busy cargo movement against tight availability of trucks mainly pushed up Chennai and Coimbatore freight rates.
Freight rates from Delhi to Chennai and Coimbatore enquired higher by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 42,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively.
Following are the rates in Rs for load of 10 tonne: Ahmedabad 14,000, Hyderabad 32,000, Mumbai 21,000, Vijayawada 34,000, Baroda 16,000, Chennai 42,000, Pune 24,000, Bangalore 44,000, Surat 18,000, Mysore 46,000, Kanpur 12,500, Puducherry 43,000, Kolkata 25,000, Coimbatore 50,000, Ludhiana 13,500, Kochi 55,000, Chandigarh 11,000, Thiruvananthapuram 61,000, Jaipur 10,000, Goa 36,000, Indore 14,000, Gwalior 8,500, Patna 21,000 and Guwahati 38,000.
