Chilli and turmeric prices fell by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the national capital today due to subdued demand.
Red chilli and turmeric prices fell up to Rs 200 to settle at Rs 8,900-12,900 and at Rs 8,200-14,200 per quintal.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks mainly pulled down the chilli and turmeric prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
Following are the quotations in Rs per quintal:
Ajwain 17,500-23,000, black pepper common 27,800-28,000, betelnut (kg) 110-120, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 880-900 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,010-1,140.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 590-620, cardamom (colour robin) 600-630, cardamom bold 620-650, cardamom extra (bold) 890-920 and cloves (kg) 650-710.
