Red chilli and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 9,500-3,600 and Rs 8,100-2,300 a quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying support from stockists as well as exporters against restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly pushed up chilli and turmeric prices in the wholesale kirana market here.
Following are today’s quotations: Ajwain 17,500-23,000, black pepper common 29,700-30,200, betelnut (kg) 110-120, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 960-1,050,and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,150-1,260.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 560-590, cardamom (colour robin) 590-620, cardamom bold 580-630, cardamom extra (bold) 850-880 and cloves (kg) 950-1,000.
