In a mixed trade scenario, prices of thoor dal and urad dal move up, while sugar, maida and sooji declined in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.
Sugar, maida (90 kg) and sooji (90 kg) went down by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,800, Rs 1,700 and Rs 1,900, respectively, against yesterday’s rates of Rs 2,850, Rs 1,750 and Rs 1,950, respectively.
Thoor and urad dal rose by Rs 100 a quintal each to Rs 6,800 and Rs 6,000, respectively. Moong dal, gram dal and wheat prices ruled steady.
The following are today’s wholesale prices of commodities (per quintal): Thoor dal Rs 6,800, urad dal Rs 6,000, moong dal Rs 6,800, gram dal Rs 3,000, sugar Rs 2,800, wheat Rs 1,900, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,700 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,900.
