A downward trend prevailed at the wholesale foodgrains market here during the week under review.
Some of the commodities remained unaltered and closed at their previous week’s rates.
On Monday, urad dal lost ground by Rs 200 per quintal from its last week’s rate of Rs 6,600 to Rs 6,400 and again shed Rs 200 on Friday to end the week at Rs 6,200.
Moong dal opened the week, down Rs 100 per quintal at Rs 6,800, and later recovered by Rs 100 to end the week on Friday at Rs 6,900.
Gram dal and wheat declined Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 4,350 and Rs 1,700, respectively. Both maida and sooji (90 kg) dropped Rs 50 each to Rs 1,600 and Rs 1,800.
