Select freight rates for 10 tonne load declined by Rs 1,000 each at the local truck transport market today on easy availability of trucks.
Transporters said excess availability of trucks compared to cargo movements mainly pulled down select freight rates.
Freight rates from Delhi to Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad slipped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 21,500, Rs 24,500 and Rs 15,000, respectively.
Rates to Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Gwalior also fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 13,000, Rs 10,500, Rs 11,000 and Rs 9,000, respectively.
Following are the rates in Rs per 10 tonne: Ahmedabad 15,000, Hyderabad 36,000, Mumbai 21,500, Vijayawada 38,000, Baroda 17,000, Chennai 48,000, Pune 24,500, Bangalore 53,000, Surat 19,000, Mysore 54,000, Kanpur 13,000, Puducherry 50,000, Kolkata 24,000, Coimbatore 55,000, Ludhiana 13,000, Kochi 59,000, Chandigarh 10,500, Thiruvananthapuram 66,000, Jaipur 11,000, Goa 38,000, Indore 16,000, Gwalior 10,000, Patna 21,000 and Guwahati 40,000.
