Freight rates for 10 tonne load section hardened by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market today following busy cargo movement amid less position of trucks.
Transporters said tight position of trucks in the market against increased cargo movement mainly pushed up freight rates for some destinations.
Delhi to Guwahati and Goa freights rose by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 38,000 and Rs 37,000, respectively.
Rates to Coimbatore, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 54,000, Rs 56,000 and Rs 64,000, respectively.
Chennai, Hyderabad and Vijayawada rates also rose by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 47,000, Rs 35,000 and Rs 37,000, respectively.
Following are the rates in Rs per load of 10 tonne: Ahmedabad 16,000, Hyderabad 35,000, Mumbai 21,000, Vijayawada 37,000, Baroda 17,000, Chennai 47,000, Pune 24,000, Bangalore 49,000, Surat 20,000, Mysore 51,000, Kanpur 11,000, Puducherry 48,000, Kolkata 25,000, Coimbatore 54,000, Ludhiana 12,000, Kochi 56,000, Chandigarh 11,500, Thiruvananthapuram 64,000, Jaipur 9,500, Goa 37,000, Indore 15,000, Gwalior 8,500, Patna 21,000 and Guwahati 38,000.
