Gold futures prices rose by 0.14 per cent to Rs 23,433 per 10 grams today tracking overnight gains in the metal at the US market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold futures for delivery in October rose by Rs 32 or 0.14 per cent to Rs 23,433 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 192 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in August gained Rs 26 or 0.11 per cent to Rs 23,135 per 10 grams, with a trade volume of 1,512 lots. It had closed 0.3 per cent higher at Rs 23,109 per 10 grams in yesterday’s trade.
Market analysts said a firming trend in precious metals at New York last evening mainly supported the upside in gold prices at futures trade here.
Meanwhile, gold moved up by 0.80 per cent to $1,601.90 an ounce in New York yesterday.
