Prices of wheat and sooji declined, while gram dal rates went up in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.
Wheat moved down by Rs 50 to Rs 1,850 a quintal from Rs 1,900 and sooji (90 kg) by Rs 100 to Rs 1,800 a quintal from Rs 1,900 previously.
In contrast, gram dal rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2,950 a quintal from Rs 2,900 earlier.
Rates for other commodities remained unchanged. The following are the wholesale rates for agricultural commodities in the foodgrains market here today (all rates per quintal, except where stated otherwise): thoor dal Rs 6,600, urad dal Rs 6,200, moong dal Rs 6,800, gram dal Rs 2,950, sugar Rs 2,780, wheat Rs 1,850, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,750 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,800.
