Gur prices improved by Rs 50 a quintal following restricted supply, amid better offtake. Market analysts said fall in supply against pick up in demand, pushed up the gur prices.
Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur mandies showed a flat trend on small buying support. In Delhi, gur chakku gained further from Rs 2,400-2,450 to Rs 2,450-2,500 a quintal. Shakkar prices also went up from Rs 2,600-2,700 to Rs 2,650-2,700a quintal.
Following were today’s quotations in Rs per quintal.
Chakku Rs 2,450-2,500, pedi 2,450-2,500, Dhayya Rs 2,450-2,500, and Shakkar Rs 2,650-2,700. In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,900-1,975, chakku Rs 2,250 -2,350, and Khurpa Rs 2,100-2,175. In Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,200-2,250 and Dhaya Rs 2,250-2,300.
