Lead prices moved up by 0.36 per cent to Rs 124.65 a kg in futures trading today on pick-up in demand in the spot markets particularly from battery makers.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April traded higher by 45 paise or 0.36 per cent to Rs 124.65 a kg, with an open interest of a single lot.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in May rose by 40 paise or 0.32 per cent to Rs 124.45 a kg, with a business turnover of seven lots.
Market analysts said increased demand from battery makers helped lead prices to move up.
