Maize prices moved down by Rs 18.50 to Rs 1,305 per quintal at the future trade today following weak spot market demand.
Market analysts said sufficient stocks against increased arrivals in the spot markets sparked selling at the futures market here.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, maize for delivery in July shed Rs 18.50 or 1.4 per cent to Rs 1,305 per quintal with an open interest of 100 lots.
Likewise, April contract moved down by Rs 3.50 or 0.28 per cent to Rs 1,250 per quintal with an open interest of 16,480 lots.
