Prices of moong dal went down while that of gram dal firmed up at the wholesale foodgrains market during the week under review.
Prices of other commodities remained unchanged.
On Monday, gram dal opened Rs 100 higher at Rs 2,900 per quintal and further firmed up by Rs 50 to end the week at Rs 2,950.
Moong dal, after an intra-week low of Rs 6,700 per quintal on Wednesday, recovered marginally to close at Rs 6,800 against the previous week’s close of Rs 6,900.
Following are the rates in Rs per quintal: Tur dal (6,000), urad dal (6,400), sugar (2,700,) wheat (1,800), maida 90 kg (1,700) and sooji 90 kg (1,850) traded at the previous week’s rates.
