Castor futures decreased marginally on selling pressure but a strong demand in the spot market restricted the downside. Spot castorseed gained on the back of export demand. Traders said that crushers and stockists' buying continued on Wednesday and expect prices to improve further in coming days. On the Rajkot Commodity Exchange (RCX), castorseed December contract gained ₹5 at ₹4,766 a quintal. RCX spot castorseed was at ₹25 to ₹4,412.50. Castor oil increased ₹5 to ₹905/10 kg. About 40,000-45,000 bags of castor arrived in Gujarat for ₹895-905 for a maund of 20 kg. Around 2,000-2,500 bags arrived in Saurashtra and went for ₹840-850.
