Nickel prices fell by 0.43 per cent to Rs 1,187.40 a kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in reducing their positions amid a weak trend at the spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in April fell by Rs 5.10 or 0.43 per cent to Rs 1,187.40 a kg, with a business turnover of 5,292 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in May lost Rs 5 or 0.42 per cent to Rs 1,196.10 a kg, with an open interest of 411 lots.
Analysts said a weak trend at the spot market mainly weighed on prices here.
