After declining earlier this week, prices of aromatic and non-basmati rice remained almost unchanged on Wednesday.
Lack of buying at all levels led to that static phase, Mr Parvin Kumar, a rice miller, told Business Line .
The rice trade has also been affected by fully-stocked warehouses, he said. Its unlikely to see any major change in the coming days, too, said Mr Kumar.
Pusa-1121 (steam) quoted at Rs 4,900-4,910 a quintal, Pusa-1121( sela ) was at Rs 3,900-3,920 and Pusa-1121 (raw) was trading at Rs 4,400 a quintal.
Duplicate basmati quoted at 3,500-3,530. Pure basmati (raw) sold at around Rs 6,000 a quintal and basmati ( sela ) was trading at Rs 4,000 a quintal.
Among the brokens of Pusa-1121, Tibar quoted at Rs 3,100-3,270, Dubar ruled around Rs 2,560 and Mongra was trading at Rs 1,900-2,085 a quintal.
Similarly, non-basmati varieties ruled flat. Sharbati (steam) ruled at Rs 2,900-2,980 and Sharbati ( sela ) sold at Rs 2,750-2,790 a quintal.
