Spot pepper prices continued to rule steady on Thursday, while futures contracts on the IPSTA platform continued their uptrend . However, no activities were reported from the National Multi Commodity Exchange. On the spot, neither was there any arrival nor any offtake. Buyers offered semi-processed pepper at ₹730 a kg, while sellers were ready to pay ₹735. Pulpally, Bathery, Wayanad sellers were offering 525-530 bulk density pepper at ₹735. High range pepper was ₹735. Spot prices remained unchanged at ₹72,000 for ungarbled and ₹75,000 for garbled a quintal.
