Polymer prices up on higher demand

In thin trading, high density polymer strengthened at the local plastic market today on the back of pick-up in demand from moulding units.

Elsewhere, other polymers such as low density and polypropylene held steady in the absence of worthwhile buying activity.

High density (HD) moulding (deshi) and HD moulding (colour) traded higher by Re one each at Rs 81 and Rs 88 per kg, respectively, on the back of increased demand from plastic moulding units.

LD No 40 - 93.00, LD No 400 - 94.50, LLDP blowing 80, colour 75, HD Blowing 78, HD moulding (deshi) 81, HD moulding (colour) 88.00, PP No 100 - 82, PP Colour 103, ABS (Indian) 100, acrylic 110-120, colour 120-125, crystal (Indian) 70, colour 82, poly carbonate 170-178, Nylon No-6 155, Nylon No 66 – 190-200, PVC resin deshi 58 and PVC pest grade 90.
