Potato prices fell by 1.04 per cent to Rs 630.60 per quintal at the futures trade today on reduced offtake by traders against increased arrivals from the producing belts.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, potato for delivery in April shed Rs 6.60 or 1.04 per cent to Rs 630.60 per quintal with a business turnover of two lots. Likewise, May contract declined by Rs 3.10 or 0.51 per cent to Rs 600 per quintal with an open interest of a single lot.
Traders attributed the fall in potato futures prices to increased arrivals in the physical markets.
